Sweeney Sworn In as Selectman

Salem, NH - Recently Elected Salem Selectman Joe Sweeney was sworn in shortly after 5:00 PM on Friday, March 17th at the Salem Town Hall to start his three year term as a member of Salem's governing body. Selectman Sweeney released the following statement: 

"I'm eager to get to work for the people of Salem as one of their Selectmen, and in less than two months, as one of their Town Councilors," Salem Selectman Joe Sweeney said. "It is an exciting and historic time in Salem, and as we transition our town government to the newly adopted Town Charter and institute the reforms that the voters supported overwhelmingly we will roll up our sleeves and get the job done for the people of Salem. I am humbled by the outpouring of support, encouragement, and advice since the election and look forward to working with the Board of Selectmen on managing this transitional period and charting the course for the future of Salem."
